Privacy Policy

Pawlog is a personal wellness journal for pet owners. This policy explains what data we handle, how we handle it, and what choices you have. In plain language: your data stays on your device unless you explicitly trigger an AI feature that needs to leave it.

1. What we store on your device

Everything you create in Pawlog is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's on-device database. This includes:

• Pet profiles (name, species, breed, sex, birth date, weight, notes)
• Weekly check-in entries (photos, mood, weight, notes)
• AI-generated wellness summaries and vet visit documents

Pawlog does not use iCloud sync, does not create user accounts, and does not require sign-in.

2. What we send when you use AI features

When you tap a feature that runs AI analysis, a limited subset of your data is sent to our server (api.pawlog.help4uu.com) and forwarded to Google's Gemini API for processing. Specifically:

• Body condition scoring: the full-body photo of the check-in you just created, plus your pet's species and breed.
• Wellness AI observations: the most recent 10 check-ins (date, mood, weight, body-condition score, notes) plus pet metadata. Photos are not sent for this feature.
• Vet visit prep: the most recent 15 check-ins plus pet metadata, in the same shape as above.

Neither our server nor Google Gemini retains this data for training. Requests are used only to compute the response and are not logged with your identity.

3. What we do not collect

• Your name, email, phone number, or contact information
• Your precise location or device identifiers we don't need
• Analytics, tracking, advertising SDKs, or third-party ad networks
• Any data from other apps or your camera roll unless you explicitly select a photo

4. Apple's App Analytics

If you have "Share iPhone Analytics" enabled in iOS Settings, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and usage data with developers. This is Apple's standard mechanism — we can only see aggregate numbers, not individual users. You can opt out in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

5. Children's privacy

Pawlog is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will help.

6. Data retention and deletion

All Pawlog data lives on your device. You can delete a specific check-in, a specific pet, or the entire app at any time — deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no cloud copy to remove.

7. Third parties

• Cloudflare Workers — hosts api.pawlog.help4uu.com, the endpoint your app calls for AI features.
• Google Gemini API — the AI model that generates body-condition scores and text summaries.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

8. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, notify users in the app.
